December 2010 Entry #16 Pilate's Cross

Title: Pilate's Cross
Author: J. Alexander Greenwood
Trailer Creator: T2+Back Alley Films of Kansas City, MO

Blurb:
The official book trailer of the independent thriller novel "Pilate's Cross" by J. Alexander Greenwood.
'The X-Files' meets 'The Prisoner' when John Pilate, his sarcastic imaginary pal Simon and lovely instructor friend Kate investigate the mystery of a murdered college president--a mystery with loose ends more than 40 years later. In too deep to wash his hands of the mystery, he risks death to get to the truth of what really happened in 1963 and why it's just as deadly 40 years later.

  1. I understand this book is a fictional rendering of a 1950s era murder at Peru State College, Peru, Nebraska, a school that has a student disappearance to solve this winter. Can't wait to read my copy!

  2. The trailer for Pilate's Cross reminds me of David Fincher's film "Zodiac." It's dark, mysterious, and contains just enough of a teaser to leave you wanting more.

    Highly recommended.

  3. Thanks all! I appreciate your interest and insights. The book trailer is certainly a fantastic piece by the folks at T2. I believe our initial concept was very close to the Fincher ideal, Eden.

Deb, yes--coincidentally another tragedy at Peru State. My prayers to the folks of Peru, NE, where a tragic disappearance is yet another sad chapter for that beautiful town.
